Name game

Yep, an actual exchange between me and my wife.

The boy didn’t really start “talking” till just after New Years. He led up to it by opening and closing his jaws a lot, as if to make sure they were in working order. (And it was pretty dang funny, I must say.) Then it became “bobobob,” which is more accurately “bababa,” an easy sound to make, I’m guessing. There would be an occasional “dadada” which, even though I know is a random sound, would warm my heart. Now that “dadada” is more frequent, and still has nothing to do with me, I’m a bit more jaded.

(Please note that I’m reading a comic book while my wife is reading something serious. As I’ve said, I always strive for accuracy.)
